How Fogkits collects, uses and stores information when you use our image tools, including uploaded photos, cookies, payments and analytics.
Who we are
Fogkits is an online image-tools service at https://fogkits.com. Fogkits is operated from Singapore by the same product team behind ImgEdit AI. Our public headquarters address is BLK 265 Serangoon Central Drive, Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you visit the site, use a tool, buy credits or contact us. It should be read with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Fogkits, we may collect:
- Usage data such as pages viewed, tool actions, browser type, referring site and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Anonymous session identifiers so we can create a job, show a preview or remember a credit balance without requiring an account.
- Images you choose to process with a server-side tool, plus related job status and download records.
- Payment metadata from our merchant of record when you buy credits, such as a payment identifier, pack and amount. We do not store full card numbers.
- Account details if you sign in with a supported provider, such as a name, email address and provider user ID.
- Messages you send to our contact email, including any files you attach.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Provide, operate and improve Fogkits tools, previews, downloads and credit balances.
- Process payments, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Understand which pages and tools people use, including first-party product analytics.
- Respond to support, privacy or security requests.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not publish uploaded photos as public or indexable pages.
How we process images
Some tools run entirely in your browser. Image Splitter and GIF Compressor, for example, process files on your device and do not upload them to Fogkits unless a future cloud option is something you explicitly choose.
Other tools need a server. Passport photos and background removal are uploaded from your browser to Amazon S3, processed by our worker, and returned through short-lived signed links. We keep the files and job records needed to generate the preview, complete a download and operate the service. Signed download links expire; that is not the same as deleting the underlying object.
Cookies and similar technologies
Fogkits uses cookies and local storage for the service to work and to measure use:
fogkit_uidis an HttpOnly cookie that identifies an anonymous tool session for about 30 days. On fogkits.com and the passport tool subdomain, an HttpOnlyfogkit_uid_sharedcookie shares that anonymous credit balance across those Fogkits hosts; it is not an authentication credential.statkit_aidand related local storage keys hold a first-party anonymous analytics ID, first-seen time and landing attribution.- Google Analytics cookies may be set when a measurement ID is configured, with ad personalization and Google Signals turned off in our gtag config.
- Session cookies may be set if you sign in with a supported provider when that option is available.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some tools will still work, but we may not be able to keep a session, credit balance or analytics identity.
How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us run Fogkits, only as needed for that purpose:
- Amazon Web Services for hosting, object storage, queues and image processing.
- Dodo Payments as merchant of record for checkout and payment processing.
- Google for Analytics when enabled, and for sign-in if you use that option.
- Statkit for first-party product analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect Fogkits or other users, or as part of a merger, acquisition or similar transaction.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Some DynamoDB records, such as rate-limit counters and idempotency keys, expire automatically. Uploaded images and results are stored so we can process a job and deliver a signed download; Fogkits does not currently advertise a fixed auto-delete window for those objects.
You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you by emailing ayaxubom@gmail.com. We may retain limited records when we must, for example to complete a payment, prevent abuse or meet a legal obligation.
Your choices
You can use browser-local tools without uploading a file. You can decline cookies in your browser, contact us to access or delete personal information, and stop using Fogkits at any time. Official government photo requirements are outside Fogkits; always check the latest official guidance before you submit a photo.
Children's privacy
Fogkits is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email ayaxubom@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Fogkits after an update means you accept the revised policy.
